Nichols Wire began in 1952 as Alabama Wire and is located in a 168,000 square foot facility in Northern Alabama. Nichols Wire is recognized as the world's largest as well as leading manufacturer of bare mechanical alloy wire products. Aluminum nails and rod are also produced.

Markets are serviced through direct sales to OEM's and indirect sales through processors and distributors. Nichols' broad product range services an active export market. End use markets include transportation, aerospace, consumer durables, marine, building / construction and electrical.

Gulf Wire, an associate company, manufactures and processes aluminum and stainless steel welding alloys in New Orleans, Louisiana.
